I went looking for a life vest for Andy for a swimming party, but instead I found a digital camera for 20.00. So Andy now has a camera of his own. All it requires now is a memory card, otherwise all it hold is 7 pix.

Andy [looking at the blog]: A Nailbitingly Divine Yodeller? I hate yodeling. Make it “guy who if you touch his nerves will kill you.”

Me: I’m not going to do that.

Andy: Whatever. Just make it violent!

Andy gave me a new hairdo last night, meaning he brushed a bunch of hair in my face. Admiring his work, he said, “Wow! This makes you look a million years younger! You look like you’re in college!”

Me [singing to no special tune]: Super-Dog, Super-Dog. Andy Yates, Andy Yates.

Andy: Not now, Dad [sic]. I’m watching a secret slide show on Mom. She wrote “I heart crime”. She must be a master thief!

Andy was talking to himself while showering:

“I am a French boy. I speak French, not like those American suckers. Except the students at L’étoile du nord.”

Character on Scooby Doo: I have a plan.

Andy: Yes! I love plans. If they involve dynamite.

Andy: Want to hear how I was talking at school today?

Me: Sure.

Andy [in a robot voice]: “Thank plus you equals thank you.” All mathy like that.

On the last day of school before break, Andy’s class had an “Authors’ Cafe” where the kids presented the books they’ve been working on all year. Andy’s was Mon Halloween.

No special story here.

Cookies for Santa (and Super-Dog, who sneaked into the kitchen on Christmas morning), produce for the reindeer.

Andy did get to sample a few of his creations before the dog got to them.

Andy got a Spongebob Chia Pet for Christmas. It truly was the best day ever.

Andy told me a couple days ago that he was disappointed that he didn’t get any weird science things for Christmas. I reminded him of this gift, a pop can robot making kit. “Yeah,” he said, “but that was Green Science [the name of the company that made it]. I wanted polluting science.”
